Building on ENVE’s foundation of Real-World Fast aero technologies, the Melee has been designed to complement the SES wheel line and to deliver aero efficiency that is on par with the fastest bikes on the road.
Aero development objectives for the Melee:
- Versatility — balanced aero efficiency and weight savings
- Tube shapes complement SES rim shapes
- Hidden wires and brake hoses
- Performance at 32 kph/20 mph and 48 kph/30 mph
AERODYNAMICS
The Melee takes design cues from ENVE’s own Custom Road, but where the Custom Road prioritizes customization, the Melee is purpose built for speed.
The Melee’s monocoque design allows for narrower tube widths and refined tube shapes to improve aero performance.
MADE FOR EACH OTHER
As a wheel, component, and now frame manufacturer, ENVE can do what many cannot – design the frame to complement ENVE SES™ rim shapes.
By simply swapping out the SES™ wheelset and tires, one can change the Melee’s personality to meet the needs of the day’s objective.
Inspiration…
Melee + SES 2.3 = Climbing
Melee + SES 3.4 = All Road Versatility
Melee + SES 4.5 = Road Race
Melee + SES 6.7 = Triathlon or Lead Out
SHAPED FOR SPEED
The Melee is designed to achieve efficiency from the second the air begins to flow over its surfaces. From the SES Tire and front wheel, to the fork legs, head tube, and beyond — The Melee is designed for speed
VERSATILE PERFORMANCE
Versatility is the name of the game for the modern road racer.
From criteriums to classics, one bike can do it all. This is largely
accomplished with tire clearance.
Tire Clearance (As Labeled on Tire)
- Minimum – 25 mm (Less will adversely affect geometry/handling)
- Maximum – 35 mm
- Recommended – 27 to 31 mm (Geometry tuned for this tire range)
Application
- 25 to 30 mm tires for road racing
- 28 to 35 mm tires for mixed surfaces
FIT IS FAST
You are only as fast as your fit allows. The Melee is available in seven frame sizes, and five fork rakes, while the handlebar, stem, and seatpost options are à
la carte. These options make the Melee the most readily customizable fixed geometry race bike on the market.
